Key responsibilities and duties
Integrate within the Pre-Award team to support the entire grant application and negotiation process.
Provide comprehensive support to CaixaResearch Institute researchers throughout the entire grant application and negociation process:
Proactively identify and disseminate competitive funding opportunities and open calls.
Ensure compliance with eligibility criteria, budget requirements, ethical issues and other funder requirements.
Assist in the negotiation and finalization of agreements and signatures.
Serve as liaison between CaixaResearch Institute and funding agencies.
Develop user-friendly support materials for PIs and their teams.
Create a repository of funding opportunities.
Collaborate with the setup and management of the database for grant applications.
Contribute to the writing and submission of institutional and other proposals.
Minimum experience (years)
3 years
Education and field of expertise
Degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology or similar. Expertise in Immunology will be highly appreciated.
Technical skills
Experience working with researchers on competitive grant applications for local, national and international funding agencies.
Familiarity with the different funding agencies and calls and with the research ecosystem.
Experience in tracking and analyzing key indicators to assess funding trends.
Soft skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish. Catalan will be a plus.
Excellent communication skills to interact with researchers, administrators, and funding agencies.
Eye for detail, strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
Proactive attitude and curiosity to learn.
Ability to work independently while asking when unsure
Ability to work under pressure when needed.
Working knowledge of ERP systems
